Rosaline (nee Simko) Fezer, age 88, of the Town of Wheatfield, died Friday, February 21, 2020 at her home. Born July 7, 1931 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, she was the beloved daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (nee Hancin) Simko. Mrs. Fezer was an English teacher for 35 years and spent the last 23 years of that time at North Tonawanda High School. She was a member of the Sodality of Our Blessed Lady, the St. Ann Mass Association, and League of the Miraculous Infant Jesus of Prague, and had held fundraisers for the American Cancer Society.
She was the wife of the late Stephen J. Fezer, Jr., who died May 20, 2019; mother of Stephen (Aminata Kaba) Fezer, III of Rochester, Maryanna (David) Fezer-Stout of Lewiston, Peter (Kristen) Fezer of Bergholz, and the late Andrew Simon Fezer and Anna Marie Fezer; and grandmother of Brandon, Theo, Alex, and Drew Fezer. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3-5:30 PM on Friday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Prayer Service will be held at 2 PM Friday at the Funeral Home; the Rev. Patrick Keleher officiating. If desired, memorials to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, or the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill - Buffalo Chapter, PO Box 146, Buffalo, NY 14223, are preferred by the family.
