Moira “Penny” (nee Heitz) (Morris) White, age 75, of Tonawanda, died Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Northgate Health Care Facility in Wheatfield, after a brief illness. Born March 9, 1944 in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Helen (nee Howell) Heitz. Moira loved animals and had several pet dogs. She was a great fan of Johnny Cash and had been a custodian at Tonawanda High School for more than 25 years before retiring.
Moira was the wife of the late David R. Morris, who died in 1968, and the late Bernard A. White, who died in 1996; mother of Mark (late Sheryl) Morris of North Tonawanda, Ann (Ron) Schwarzott of Buffalo, Ellen (late Daniel) Quenneville of Tonawanda, and Gregory (Cheryl) White of Northfield, Ohio; grandmother of Michael Fusco, Angela (Mitch) McMann, April (Jeremy) Lepsch, and Jenna Quenneville; and sister of Rosalie (late Gary) Keicher and Joan (late Robert) Osbourne. Also surviving are 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service at 1 PM on Saturday, January 25, at Grove Street Christian Church, 85 Grove Street, Tonawanda; the Rev. James Girling officiating. If desired, memorials to the SPCA are preferred by the family.
