Julia (nee Ciecko) Fremont, age 91, of the Town of Tonawanda, died Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Born October 12, 1928 in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Isadore and Julia (nee Jankowski) Ciecko. Julia had worked for many years at Wean's Florist before retiring. She was a member of St. Timothy's R.C. Church and in later years, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was the wife of the late Arthur L. Fremont, who died in 1996; mother of Debbie (Andrew) Adams of Amherst, Larry (Delores) Fremont of Washington, Mark (Mary Jane) Fremont of Cambria, and Gregg (Stacie) Fremont of Texas; grandmother of Christian, Matthew, Ryan, and Kevin Adams, Sarah, Danny, Brad, Bryan, Cameron, Hannah, and Noah Fremont; sister of Richard (Carlene) Ciecko; and sister-in-law of Jerry Fremont. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Cora, and Mason; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her five sisters.
There is no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday at St. Timothy R.C. Church, 565 East Park at Ensminger Road, Tonawanda; the Rev. Dennis Fronckowiak officiating. Because of the pandemic, social distancing and masks are required. Your cooperation is appreciated. Entombment will be cared for privately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda. If desired, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105, are preferred by Julia's family.
