Victor Gutmann, age 94, of Tonawanda, died Monday, June 24, 2019 at the McAuley Residence in the Town of Tonawanda. Born March 16, 1925 in Kapu, Estonia, he was the son of the late August and Armilde (nee Klink) Gutmann and had been a resident of Tonawanda since 1951. Victor was a foreman for Manufactured Homes in Depew before retiring.
He was the husband of 61 years of the late Elfriede (nee Kellner) Gutmann, who died January 26, 2016; father of Alfons (Christine) Gutmann of Cheektowaga, Roland (Michele) Gutmann of Salem, New Hampshire, Michael (Maureen) Gutmann of South Wales, Ingrid (Eugene) Aquilino of Round Rock, Texas, and Linda (James) Leising of the Town of Tonawanda; grandfather of Matthew (Karen) Gutmann, Christopher Gutmann, Jeffrey Gutmann, Stephen (Nicole) Gutmann, Elizabeth Gutmann, Aileen Gutmann, Benjamin Leising, Maxwell Leising, Emili Leising, Rachele (Chris) McCullough, and Anthony (Jenn) Aquilino; and great-grandfather of Samuel, Brigette and Sophia.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Monday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday at St. Francis Chapel, 71 Adam Street, Tonawanda; the Rev. Michael Uebler officiating. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda. If desired, memorials to Hospice Buffalo, the Disabled American Veterans, or the American Red Cross are preferred by the family.
