Ronald W. Wilkins, age 84, of Tonawanda, died Monday, October 28, 2019 at his residence under the care of Hospice. Born March 13, 1935 in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Charles and Hazel (nee Spect) Wilkins and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was employed at Aimco in Amherst before retiring.
He was the husband of the late Helen (nee Schonebeck) Wilkins, who died February 24, 2018; father of Jennifer (James) Heim of Amherst, Dina (Mark) Frawley of Tonawanda, and Carrie (Dean) Magaris of Tonawanda; and grandfather of Jonah Heim, James Heim, Jordan Heim, Samantha Ellis, Mason Frawley, Katelyn Miller, Casey Magaris, and Kiele Gabioud; great-grandfather of Gianna and Michael; and brother of the late Robert Wilkins, Charles Wilkins, and Gertrude Cartwright. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Tuesday at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where a Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday; Chaplain Thomas Martin officiating. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to the Disabled American Veterans, 130 S. Elmwood Avenue, Suite 620, Buffalo, NY 14202, are preferred by the family.
