Ralph C. Selover, of Tonawanda, died Friday, July 20, 2018 at Hospice Buffalo, after fighting a brave battle with leukemia and kidney cancer since 2003. Born in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Chester and Ethel (nee Parsons) Selover. Ralph was a self-employed carpenter and owner of RC Selover Building & Remodeling. He was a member of the South Towns Walleye Association and the National Turkey Federation. He enjoyed hunting and fishing from his cabin in Belmont, New York, and going to the casino. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
He was the husband of 32 years of Rae Marie (nee Heckman) Selover and the husband of the late Suzanne (nee Keyser) Selover; father of Stuart (Susan Fonzi) Selover of North Tonawanda, and Arthur (Lisa) Selover of the Town of Tonawanda; grandfather of Jacob, Lexi and Maya; brother of the late Arthur L. Selover; and uncle of James (Jennifer) Selover and Jane Eerhart.
The family will receive friends from 3-7 PM on Friday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM Saturday at St. Francis Chapel, 71 Adam Street, Tonawanda; the Rev. Msgr. Francis Weldgen officiating. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to the Hospice Foundation of WNY, PO Box 590, Buffalo, NY 14240, or to the SPCA, 300 Harlem Road, West Seneca, NY 14224, are preferred by the family.
