Connie (nee Winters) Steves, age 72, of North Tonawanda, died Tuesday, April 23, 2019, unexpectedly at her residence. Born February 14, 1947 in North Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Betty (nee Joyner) Winters. Connie was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda and was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School. She worked at the Ralph C. Wilson Adult Day Services in North Tonawanda. Connie was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed spending time with friends.
She was the wife of the late Leonard W. Steves, who died December 31, 2006; mother of Leonard (Tammy) Steves of Tonawanda and Michael (Patti Jo) Steves of Gasport; and grandmother of Joseph Diaz, Shawn Steves, Samantha Steves, Christopher Steves, Matthew Steves, and Ryan Steves. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Services were cared for privately at the request of the family. Mrs. Steves donated her body to the Anatomical Gift Program at the University at Buffalo.
