John E. Hahn, age 83, of Pendleton, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at his residence. Born March 4, 1934 in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Cleora Rose (nee Detig) Hahn. John was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War and served aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid. He was an Electronic Engineer at Bell Aerospace for 20 years, a teacher at BOCES, and then worked as a Biomedical Engineer at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. He was a proud member of the Royal Rangers.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise (nee White) Hahn; his children, Joseph (Shari) Hahn, Mary (Anthony) Genovese, John C. (Christine) Hahn, and Gregg (Aileen) Hahn; and eleven grandchildren, Adam Hahn, Sarah (Abraham) Kuehn, Elizabeth (Michael) Hermann, Aaron Hahn, Kenny (Aryelle) Campbell, Christie Campbell, Corey Campbell, Brian (Danielle) Hahn, Tracy Hahn, Emily Hahn, and Caylie Hahn; and his siblings, Joanne (Lee) West, Ronald (Beverly) Hahn, Robert Hahn and the late Carol (O'Brien) Schockesse. Also surviving are 5 great-grandchildren, Broderick Hermann, Gwenevere Hermann, Rachel Kuehn, Amos Kuehn, and Layla Kuehn, and many nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at 6 PM Saturday, November 25, at Evangel Assembly of God, 8180 Greiner Road, Williamsville; Pastor Pat Hilkey officiating. Friends invited. Naval Military Honors will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to One Church for the Medina Campus Fund, 6 Scotland Road, Akron, NY 14001, are preferred by the family.
