Helen (nee Mihalics) Toth, age 80, of Pendleton, died Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, after a brief illness. Born December 24, 1936 in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (nee Tinces) Mihalics. Before moving to Pendleton, Mrs. Toth had previously been a resident of Florida and Tonawanda, and had been a member of the former St. Edmund R.C. Church in Tonawanda and the Red Hat Society.
She was the wife for 63 years of the late Eugene J. Toth, who died October 1, 2016; mother of Eugene Toth of Pendleton, Steven Toth of Amherst and the late EvaJean Toth, who died January 13, 2017; grandmother of Nicholas and Kendra Toth; and sister of Mary Plazetzki of Amherst and the late John Mihalics, Frank Sonora and Rose. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 2 PM on Saturday at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where a Memorial Service for Helen and her daughter, EvaJean, will be held at 2 PM Saturday; the Rev. Michael Uebler officiating. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 73 Adam Street, Tonawanda, NY 14150, are preferred by the family.
